Shelter ventilation devices are used to provide the fresh air needed in shelters. The products include a G4 dust filter, an activated carbon odor filter, and an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Fallout) filter. In peacetime, to avoid contaminating these filters, the damper can be reversed, allowing only the G4 dust filter to be used. The SHU 3E model features a lever for operation in case of a power outage. This lever allows for manual ventilation even in small shelters.
